Welcome to the OBJECT ROOM website (“theobjectroom.co.nz”). This website is owned and operated by the OBJECT ROOM Limited (“the OBJECT ROOM”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

the OBJECT ROOM website is an online store for the sole use of individuals and entities wishing to browse, select and order products from us.

Your access to and use of our website, including your order of products through our website, is governed by these terms and conditions. Please take a few minutes to review these terms and conditions.

Your use of our website, including browsing and placing and order, constitutes your agreement to follow these terms and conditions, and to be bound by them. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, do not use this website nor place an order.

Product Availability and Description Accuracy

All products displayed on our website are available only whilst stocks last.

We make every effort to reflect products’ colours as accurately as possible. However, due to factors such as differences in monitors and screen settings, we are unable to guarantee that the colour you will see on your monitor will accurately reflect the true colour of the product.

All drawings, photos, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising issued on our website are issued for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the products described in them. They will not form part of the contract with you and no warranty or guarantee shall be expressed or implied in the contract with you in this regard.

Placing an Order

By placing an order with the OBJECT ROOM online store, you are required to acknowledge you have read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, by selecting the tick box at checkout. If you are unhappy with any aspect of these, you should contact us before placing your order.

All prices on this website are in NZD (New Zealand Dollars) and include 15% GST (Goods & Services Tax).

All prices are quoted exclusive of shipping costs, which will be charged at the rate specified during the checkout.

From time to time, we may apply reductions against the normal prices of selected products and/or their shipping costs. We may do this by applying promotional codes to the listings of those products on the website, in which case the deductions will be labelled on the site and applied automatically at the checkout process. You may also receive a promotional code through our newsletters, advertising material, or social media, in which case you will need to enter the promo code at the shopping cart, and the promotional detail will reflect at the shopping cart once the valid promo code has been applied correctly. Please note that promo codes may have their own specific terms and conditions, please refer back to the promotional material you received.

We will send an order confirmation email once we received your order, where a valid email address is provided.

All purchases made at our online store will be processed within next business day, providing payment has been received by us. We will notify you via email once the order is available to pickup in-store or is ready for despatch.

During the order process, if we find out where there is a delay, likelihood of delay or the selected products are not available to supply, we will contact you immediately to provide a refund, or to provide an alternative replacement or to agree on a later delivery time with you.

the OBJECT ROOM reserve the right at all times and at our sole discretion to refuse to accept any orders. In this case, any payment you have made will be refunded immediately.


Payment currency for purchases made via our website is NZD (New Zealand Dollars). the OBJECT ROOM uses Payment Express (DPS / Direct Payment Solutions) to process all Credit Card and Account2Account payments in a safe and secure way. Your credit card nor bank account details will not be saved by us.

the OBJECT ROOM online store accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards. "THE OBJECT ROOM - ONLINE" will appear on cardholder statements for any transactions through our website.

the OBJECT ROOM online store also accept Account2Account payments. Account2Account is an instant bank transfer by making a one-off online payment using your bank portal, which created on a secure page hosted by Payment Express.

the OBJECT ROOM will not charge any convenience fee for using Account2Account, however it is important to check with your bank if one-off payment fee apply to your particular bank account type.

the OBJECT ROOM Gift Vouchers cannot be redeemed (or purchased) through our online store at this stage. If you would like to use your Gift Voucher but are unable to visit our physical store, please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you.

No payment shall be deemed to have been received until we have received payment in cleared funds.


All purchases made through our online store will be processed by the following business day, providing that payment has been received by us. If your order is made on a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday, your order may not be despatched / collected by our courier company until the next business day. We will send you a shipping notification email once your order is ready for despatch. A tracking number and date of despatch will be provided in this email. All shipments will include tracking and insurance.

the OBJECT ROOM do not have permission to give any special delivery instructions to courier companies (“Leave at front door”, for example). If you wish, you may contact the courier company directly once you have received your tracking number from us as most companies will only allow the recipient to provide permission for such requests.

Please note that your order’s shipment is insured up to the point of delivery, the OBJECT ROOM is not responsible if your shipment is stolen, lost or damaged after being delivered to the shipping address you provided.

Your shipping rate will be automatically calculated on check-out, after you have provided us with your shipping address, post code and country. If you do not know your post code within New Zealand, you can find this on the New Zealand Post website. the OBJECT ROOM asks that you ensure you have provided the correct address, post code and country, as in the situation that an incorrect code has been entered we may need to contact you for the additional shipping fee before your order can be sent.

Please note that the OBJECT ROOM are not responsible for any import tax, duties or any other additional expenses that may occur on delivery to addresses outside of New Zealand. Shipment may subject to custom clearance or other related procedures, which can cause delays beyond the targeted delivery time.

the OBJECT ROOM will acknowledge and follow all of the requirements outlined in the Consumer Guarantees Act to ensure that all customers are treated fairly.

For all of the situations mentioned below – exchanges or refunds, a proof of purchase is required. For online orders, this can be your order confirmation email, or shipping notification email.

the OBJECT ROOM do not have to provide a refund if you have simply changed your mind about a product or purchase. However we will fully comply and meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act if products are found faulty.

Should any product prove to be a faulty item, you should contact us for details of remedies. In most cases, we will ask you to return the product and its original packaging at our arrangement. the OBJECT ROOM will in the first instance, exchange a replacement or repair the faulty products at our cost. Should neither of these two options be viable within a reasonable time frame or cost, we will issue a refund for the product and shipping costs.

the OBJECT ROOM are happy to offer an exchange on items within 14 days of original purchase date. Unless faulty, there are some exclusions on products which are not exchangeable. These include products which are identified as being discontinued, reduced in price or on sale, and products that have been opened and are unable to be re-sold as new products (most of our Aromatic products are an example of this). Due to the hygienic reasons, socks, swimwear and earrings are non-exchangeable unless faulty.

To exchange a product, please first of all contact us with your details and an explanation of what item/s you would like to exchange. You are responsible for safely returning the products to us, at your own expense unless the product is faulty. the OBJECT ROOM do not take any responsibility of any items lost during the process of posting your return. Therefore it is highly recommended to use a tracked service for your returns as most traceable services will also include insurance. All returned products must be in the same condition as they were shipped, un-used and with original packaging, along with proof of purchase. Once we have received and accepted the products you returned, we will issue an exchange within the next working day. You will then be required to pay a new courier in order to have the newly selected product to be sent out as well as any cost difference should the newly selected products be of a higher value than the ones being returned.

These Trade Marks may be in use and / or registered in more than one country and your use and access of our website does not give you any rights to use our Trade Marks.

All other Trade Marks are the property of their respective owners.

All content included on this website including, without limitation, the Trade Marks of the OBJECT ROOM, logos, graphics, text, photos, designs, icons, images, data and software is the property of the OBJECT ROOM Limited.
